Discover Our Story

On May 29, 2007, a one-car accident right after school took the lives of Miranda Phelps and Lauren Dietz, both freshmen at Northwest High School. Just two short years later, on June 8, 2009, Jessica Phillips, a junior at Colerain High School lost her life in a one-car accident. All 3 were members of the CCSC Blaze Select Soccer Team. Following the 2nd accident in 2009, Colerain Township Police & Fire Departments, and Hamilton County Sherriff's Dept partnered with the students at Northwest High School to expand their Driving Angels Program, established in the Fall of 2007 to raise awareness of responsible driving at the school. This newly expanded program would offer a Juvenile Court Diversion Program for Hamilton County Teenage Offenders. In 2015, the program educated its 1000th student and continues to provide education 6 times a year.
